Our Commitment

At The Idea Camp, hosted at Multnomah University, we strive to create an environment conducive to the development and sharing of entrepreneurial ideas. This includes ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful experience for all participants: attendees, speakers, volunteers, staff, and sponsors.

Expectations

Respect and Inclusivity

  • We welcome participants regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurotype, physical appearance, body size, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, or religion.
  • Harassment and discrimination in any form are not tolerated.

Substance-Free and Weapons-Free Environment

  • Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited on the Multnomah University campus at all times.
  • Guests are not permitted to be in possession of firearms, weapons, or knives with blades greater than three inches.
  • Any violation of these regulations by any participant or their guests will result in immediate termination of their participation in the event and may lead to contract termination where applicable.

Unacceptable Behaviors

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive comments or behavior related to gender, race, religion, and other personal characteristics.
  • Unwelcome comments or conduct concerning a person’s lifestyle choices and practices.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Harassing photography or recording.
  • Sustained disruption of sessions or events.
  • Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

Reporting and Enforcement

  • If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to our staff or via email at [Contact Email].
  • Reports will be handled with confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Individuals violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event at the discretion of The Idea Camp organizers.
